Riley is a Master of Biomedical Science rotational student in the Jimenez Sainz lab. She is originally from Wichita, Kansas but has lived in South Carolina most of her life. She graduated from Clemson University in 2025, with a degree in Genetics and a minor in Russian Area Studies. As an undergraduate, she studied the role of the gene FBH1 in DNA repair and recombination in melanoma cell lines. Riley is currently interested in further exploring DNA repair pathways and their relation to various cancer types.
Outside of school, Riley enjoys exploring the Charleston area and its history as well as hanging out with friends and family. She is a lover of all dogs, embroidery, science, and anything Batman related.
